My reporting career is a time in my life that I will always cherish. I'll never forget a cartoon on display in the newsroom at the Daily Pilot. It showed a person wearing a blindfold and about to throw a dart at a litany of topics taped to a bulletin board. The caption read: "Today I'm an expert in ..." And, that's exactly what reporting was like.
